About us

The Israeli Center for Insomnia Information ( ICII ) is an independent information center, unaffiliated with any commercial entity.

The ICII was established in 2006 for the purposes of:

- Explaining Insomnia to the general public.
  including its causes and its available  treatment options.
- Updating the general public with regard to the latest news and research in this area
- providing assistance and guidance concerning effective, non-medicated techniques 
  for  treating insomnia.
- Encouraging the formation of local support groups to deal with Insonmnia.



The ICII was established by Mr. Elhanan Shanan, who also heads the center.


Elhanan, 40, holds degrees in Law ( LL.B ) and Business administration ( MBA ). He is a registred member of the British Sleep Society ( BSS 0897 ) , and a qualified practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming ( NLP )  and educational Kinesiology ( Edu-K ). Elhanans is employed as head of business information in an Israeli branch of a large European engineering conglomerate.

The ICII is assisted by Medical information specialists, who provide news, statistical and research findings, as well as other important information regarding Insomnia.

The ICII is frequently assisted by medical experts , incuding doctors and psychotherapists, who comment on various materials published on this site on an ongoing basis.
